We have over 100,000 subscribers. We have almost 2000 on at this moment, and 15,000 on the stream.
We were part of the first time the internet ever crowd-sourced a video game. And we're about to do it again.
We have the positivity of /b/, the content of /sp/, the pokemon of /v[/ (duh), and the artistic talent to rival any fanart board.

You know, I kind of prefer Gen 2. Sure, it's less "original." But the Gen 1 run became all about the idiotic memes, absurd "narratives," and inexplicable media attention. Gen 2 is a lot more low-key, which makes it a bit more tolerable. It's more about just playing the game, without all of the extra baggage.

Gen 2 is shit because they're playing a stupidly modded version, and they force democracy every hour. Also, they should have waited a couple of months and play another game to build up hype.

Gen 1 was a fun experience, even with all the idiocy. In fact, the main problem I had with the memes was the people on /vp/ that spammed the TPP threads complaining about them.

And the meta story telling was fun as heck, and made more sense than the ashnime.

Disagree. It started out entertaining enough, but people just don't know when to stop beating a dead horse. You want to spam "praise helix" in the chat or whatever? Fine, go ahead. The problem was that shit like that just got out of control, and it became ONLY about that stupid story, to the point that mainstream media was reporting on this new internet "religion." That's how you know you've "jumped the shark," so to speak.

The game did have a lot of fun moments, and I did enjoy watching. But my enjoyment came from the game itself, and eventually what started as a simple meta-joke just overtook all of that.

It has the GS ball hacked and some unobtainable pokemon are obtainable. For example, there's people that trade you Moltres or Articuno for catchable shit. And Onix evolves at level 35.

I don't know more, but that's enough to kill the fun. It isnt like the safari zone thing where it made sense.

There's a difference between the meta story telling and the meme spouting.
I agree the PRAISE HELIX may be annoying (again, if you go to 9fag or reddit), but the story made around it is cool. It's an imaginative way to reinterpret a game we all here played hundreds of times.

Things like the Venomoth ATV and Bird Jesus were neat. I never understood why Nidoking was called the fonz though.

You're joking, right? Gen 1 had at least a FEW jokes that came out naturally and didn't become terrible forced memes until reddit and the rest of the internet found them. Gen 2 was forced meme bullshit right from the start.

Maybe I just haven't been watching as carefully (okay, I DEFINITELY haven't been), but have any of those attempted forced memes caught on at all? Yeah, people are trying, but they're not succeeding. The problem with Gen I wasn't that there were memes, it was that they were beaten to death. Gen II's attempted memes never even got off the ground, which is good.

Starting Crystal right away was a terrible decision.

Imagine if they waited a year. Whether you like it or not, the hype would've been amazing, and it would definitely draw a much larger crowd than the pitiful one they have now.

Thing is, the guy is making money off of it. Not much, but something. If he'd waited, even a month or two, someone else probably would have jumped in. I see how waiting would have been better for the viewers, but it wasn't going to happen.
