I have tried out an AV goodra before and it works great against special attackers and physical walls. Here is the spread I used:
Modest Nature @AssVest
252HP/252Sp.Atk/4Def
Dragon Tail
Flamethrower
Ice Beam
Sludge Bomb
It works better late-game. Hits hard and has good coverage. Dragon tail is used for phazing out non-fairy pokemon and can catch physical attackers red-handed on the switch if you predict well.
