>decide to do another batch of eggs

>wake up properly to find my 3ds turned off on my sheets
>think 'oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck'
>turn it on to discover that the shiny was gone
>realise, then, that I hadn't saved since I started my session
>be depressed all morning
Moral of the story: always save after catching a shiny.
