They're fun and all, but they all miss the fact that its a childrens show, and as far as kids are concerned, brock himself is a kid. Ninetendo can't exactly go around making cartoons about kids getting adults pregnant, they would have parents after their blood if they did that. If pokemon were an anime for an older audience, brock and ivy would show up every now and then with a pregnant ivy or a baby. That's all there is to it, plain and simple.
It's not too different from the ashes coma theory, its fun to think about, but its ultimately wrong for the sole reason that pokemon is a show aimed at kids, and having a protagonist that keeps getting older and older would mean kids don't have someone to self insert as, and that being the case, nintendo won't let ash grow older until they have a replacement.
