So did the Pokebank fixing actually affect the rate of hacked pokes going through, or is it still piss easy for anyone who knows how to keep things in feasible parameters?

Hacking mons in is easy as piss, bank will only prevent severe abominations from getting through, like a electric type doduo.

The necessary changes and checks it would take to properly scan every pokemon people put in the bank wouldn't be worth the investment to Nintendo, and would probably involve a bit of privacy violation.

There are a few IV spreads that do end up with a Shiny Jirachi. They all suck though.

Shiny Jirachi is locked for X/Y.
Meaning despite the fact that it was possible, it's won't go through because GameFreak or Nintendo is fucking incompetent.

I know about the few shiny spreads, but those are from genning and calculating the shiny value only, not soft-resseting the game.
I seriously doubt anyone ever got a shiny one before RNGing was a thing.

I got a nicknamed wshmkr jirachi through bank so I don't know how a shiny one wouldn't go through.

You can RNG the game to have the specific ID and Hidden ID the event has, name your character like the event one and then you can rename them.
So most event mons can be renamed without problem.

Well, Im being a little pesimist, but yeah, I would love to someone prove with a full video the moment since you get the Jirachi (rng abusing of course), then try to trade it all the way up to x/y and then make it viral so nintendo unblock that.

Both are right.
Things like HA Zapdos, Moon Ball Eevee, etc. can't pass, but most things are fair game (I managed to pass a 5-IV Wish Chansey, so it's not that hard)

Well, no shit, you can't obtain HA Zapdos in gen 5 at all.

You can't capture Eevee in the wild on HG/SS, so Moon ball is not possible too.
6iv wish chansey is easy as fuck and its possible legally, that's why you can gen it no problem.

Moon Ball Eevee and other things like that actually do go through. The game just doesn't care. I just changed the Pokeball on a 5th gen one, HA even.

Was there a patch recently? I know they updated a little when it was finally released outside of Japan, but that only stopped the hacked Pentagons from getting through that I was aware of. I just used Bank two nights ago and didn't have to update, so if there was a patch it's news to me, or is OP just really behind?

Bank 1.0 (Japan-only): "everything goes". Literally, I've seen Dragon Dance Garchomp and Flying Snivy floating around those days (not to mention hacked pentagons, which were possible)

Bank 1.1 (the one we have): patched the things above, but most of it still goes through without decent hack-checks
