Bought a system a bit ago with a few games, then a friend gave me his AC code for free. So it worked out pretty well.

I used the serial number instead of the pin number to register my 3DS and now it's not letting me get the download code even though I've also registered Animal Crossing. Did anyone else do this? Is there a way to fix it? If the pin number is in the box, how did everyone keep track of their box instead of throwing it out?
