I didn't like the idea of mega-evolutions when they were first announced, and I never warmed up to it.
The whole concept just seems really artificial. Like it was marketed towards 13 year olds and people who've never played pokemon. It ruins the individual concept of a Pokemon, because now you're never going to see normal Charizard or Pinsir again.
>you never saw them in the first place!
Well, sorry not every pokemon is an uber. That's how the game worked in the past and we were fine with it. All megas do is just give a huge bump in stats and some OP ability as if to say "Now you can use your favorite mon in OU, the only tier that matters." And why does for example, Pinsir and Heracross get megas but not Ambipom or Tropius (two random examples)? "Just because we like it better."
fuck megas. I hope to god my favorite mon doesn't get a mega.
