I've a pretty good idea on how to get rid of all these leftovers after I've got my shiny. I'll put them in PokeBank, wait for the trial to expire, then wait for the limbo-period to end. Bam, ~1000 Gastlys released in one go.

Poliwag boyfriend checking in. I've decided to try to MM a Poliwag for my girlfriend despite having caught a wild one last night (this is so it has a chance at having its HA and it will be low level); worst case scenario I give up and I end up giving her the less than ideal one. I now have the suitable parents, and now my ride begins.
Gts scout !geRQRhRgao
>tfw gts scouting is still alive, but not worth the effort anymore Its either not kalos native or they want a poke bank legend instead of the easy 5 i'm used to. I'm just focused on catching them all via GTS now so I can hunt through hoard. Fun fact, the chances of finding a shiny in a hoard while the shiny charm is active is 1 in 546 for each hoard

Besides, the recoil of Jump Kick isn't as bad as Hi Jump Kick, and you have Horn Leech to regain health either way.
