Using TPP Red's team in Crystal as the final boss was a nice touch. I'm guessing the next stream is in a week because the streamer's modding Steven's team in order to have TPP Red's team again.

That and the fact that it was a quick fad. Fads never last long, especially internet fads nowadays.

This is what I'm curious about the most, since it will probably be hard to do momentum input.

I'm also curious as to how they'll deal with Sootopolis Gym, but they managed to get through the Ice Cave and all of Kanto again in Crystal (though it helped that there were a LOT less people now), so it may be possible.

It only died out because they ran it into the ground. Democracy mode completely defied the point of the whole thing and also made the Red run end far too soon... and then they followed it up almost immediately with Crystal, which is basically the exact same fucking thing as Red, gameplay wise.

If there was a month's break (to build hype for the next run), or if Democracy mode hadn't been added so the completion of even basic tasks was a milestone (as opposed to basically just watching someone play very, very slowly), then they could have kept the ball rolling long term. The guy running it got anxious about his experiment and drove it into the ground, effectively killing it.

It's actually still one of the most popular streams on twitch, and they're not eve playing a main series game right no.

But that is the appeal of it. If you wanted to beat the game easily, play it on your own. The fun of it was the insane lack of control. Every minor event became a victory. There is a new metagame; it completely changed the core gameplay and gave us something new out of a game people have played countless times.

That was the whole point, It was interesting to watch just because everyone is putting inputs into the game doing whatever they wanted. It was a fight between those who wanted to fight the good fight, and those who just wanted to watch the world burn, and just making it into the next town was an amazing gameplay. You want to watch a more organized version play it by yourself.
