We dont usually have /shw/ outside of Friday-Sunday (Any threads that crop up during the week generally arent us) but some people figured a holiday themed around luck would actually make sense for Shiny Hunt Weekend.
Last time we extended Shiny Hunt Weekend was Christmas.
Also, it seems like an overwhelming yes for the extension, so I guess we'll go into Monday then!

In Colloseum, snagging a shiny shadow Pokémon would result in your getting a non-shiny. This is because shininess is calculated based on the trainer's PID and SID, so when it changes trainers, it is recalculated. This phenomenon pissed a lot of people off.
So in GoD, they just say fuck it and made it so that shadow Pokémon can't be shiny ever. Cure worse than the medicine, I think, but whatever.
That's the only change to shinies, though. Any encounter that isn't a shadow Pokémon can be shiny.
