Fuck Nuzlocke. I have my own shit. It's called the Long and Hard One. The rules are that you can only heal at a Pokecenter once when you arrive at a new town, and can only catch a new Pokemon after each gym. What do you motherfuckers think?

that's kinda what i always do,but i have my exceptions with healing

i'd replace the "you can only catch a new Pokemon after each gym." with "you can only catch 6 pokemons before the second gym"

You can use Pokemarts whenever. The idea is that if you faint you'll have to backtrack and have less money for useful items to sustain yourself. I don't think the Pokemon you can catch should be restricted to the ensuing route but I don't think you should have the option of letting them add up i.e. once you beat the next gym your chance is lost and you can't catch two in a row after etc.

Conservation is key. Avoid trainers and exploit their weaknesses better. Having to stick with your starter until the first gym is a bit of a rub but I feel like the options in Nuzlocke early on are so terribly common that it doesn't provide any variety on replays. I'm contemplating the main problem with my idea in that there's no concrete way to loose the game. Perhaps when your money has reached a low enough level? What would be considered "debt", maybe when you have less yen than you had to start?
