Now that the trial period has pretty much ended, how many of you have banked that $ 5?

Inb4 jewish N trying to make us pay for a service that should be free.

Paid mine, since I could use the extra boxes and my PC was overcrowded.

I paid it a little while ago. Maybe a week or so? I just popped on and it asked me about it so I got the year subscription.

I'm still debating on if I should move my Event mons up to Y. I mean, I'm not gonna be able to trade them any more on the older games, and I'm almost positive some are hacked because you can't trust anyone with event mons, especially not the shits on Serebii.

but...i also don't want to have the special moves get deleted. Like, Flying/Surfing Pikachu for instance.

I paid as I was running out of space while transferring from 4/5th gen. It's cheap enough that no-one should complain about the price. I'm going to store my living pokedex there once I complete it and then just breed 5IV pokes till I decide to stop.

Why wouldn't they? You can still back up a save using a flash card, or trade between a rom and retail game. That's how I got all of my hacks into y.

Transferring is non-wifi based, at least between Gen 3, 4, and 5. It's local wireless/IR.

As for PokeTransporter, that utilizes the 3DS wifi service. Not the DS. I'm confused as to why you would even think that wouldn't work?

Even when Nintendo WFC shuts down, you can still transfer Pokemon from gen3 and even gen mons. The lack of wifi will just make it more difficult. (you'll have to use flash carts or an Action Replay after May 20th) The only way to prevent new genned/hacked mons from transferring is to disable PokeTransporter. (with them being as abundant as they are, i don't see a reason to still complain)

I haven't seen anyone argue that the storage should be free. Most people just want the transfer system to be free, instead of needlessly tied to the cloud storage.
