Most shiny pokemon are hacked. Especially if the owner is willing to give them away.

As of why hackers even bother wasting their money on a 3DS and a cart when they can use their precious shiny hacked legendaries on Showdown for free is completely beyond me.

They don't have 5IV Terrakion, Genesect, Heatran and Thundurus.
They don't have 5IV Conkeldurr with Knock Off.
They don't have the hundreds of Pokemon who learned Stealth Rock in earlier generations with 5IVs.
They don't have 5IV Rotom with Pain Split.

And again, I re-iterate: why spend the money on the game when you only care about getting into quick battles? Showdown is updating to look more and more like wi-fi, and PO is super-fast and generally has more skilled players. There is simply no good reason for you to have spent that money if all you're going to do is hack in your pokes for some quick battles.

Things like VGC exist too if you didn't realize. And most players who participate in that pokegen for convenience. The current ruleset obviously stops this, but you can breed with genned parents. And this Kalos only rule won't be here forever.

Yeah, when they're scrubs. A lot of new players use OU:The Movie, that just means they're inexperienced, it does not mean they are hacked.

Hackers tend to bring shit like Heatran and Genesect, and they are simply not fun to play against. I'm not saying they're impossible to beat, as I've beaten teams with them myself. But they are an enormous hassle to deal with, especially if you're running underused pokes.

And again, there simply is no reason to spend all that money when simulators exist. Hackers very obviously do not care about catching, raising or trading pokemon, so what's the point?

Most genners follow smogon or VGC rules so there's never any uber level legendaries being used that would put a battle off balance in any way.

And it doesn't matter if it's more difficult, it's fucking possible. If you want to get something yourself legitimately, you can. Nobody's stopping you. It may take you more time than me but when it comes down to battle we'll be using the same things.

I'm fully aware that you prefer to be called "genners", but it's the same thing. You're hacking pokemon into the game for the sake of gaining an advantage.

Also, nobody will ever be able to answer why they hack pokes onto a cartridge instead of using a simulator. On simulators everything is fair game, and you're battling people who are more competitive. It's also faster and less prone to disconnects, AND you don't even have to go through the lengthy process of finding someone to battle and getting set up. It's even faster to set up teams and alter EV spreads/movesets.

Okay, so you're essentially cheating in a tournament. Assuming we let that slide in the name of "everyone else does it!!", it's still just a tournament. It's not random matches over wi-fi.

I bred a team of 6 pre-Pokebank. As a long time genner, I can say I'm never doing that autistic shit again. It's not fun, it's not rewarding, it's bike simulator 2014. I can save about 50 hours just creating the thing I want in Pokegen.

Best part is. nobody will know the difference. Nobody. And if I mess up a nature or egg move, I fix it within 5 minutes rather than 5 hours. Its the best way to go.

It's also the fact that hackers have more at their disposal. They can hack up an Adamant flawless-IV shiny Linoone with Belly Drum and Extreme-Speed. Someone on cartridges can not do that.

And then there's also the fact that it ruins the authenticity of the game. If there was no such thing as genning, I would be genuinely impressed every time I saw a shiny pokemon. I know they're easier to get than ever, but it's still a sign of luck or dedication on the other person's part. Same goes for breeding, if you check out the luvdisc giveaway thread there are people who chain-breed all these moves on their pokemon, and it's impressive. But it means jack shit when preteens fly in with their hacked shiny Chansey with Wish.

But you know what's even quicker and easier than hacking a pokemon to send it through bank? Simulators. You don't even have to create another pokemon if you mess up the nature, just click one button and you're set to go. You also get to battle other people who don't care for legitimacy and just want to battle, I don't see any downsides to that.

I don't give a shit what kind of genned Pokemon they use, unless they're bringing illegal pokemon over (which they can't), they don't really concern me.
Again, while is there is no reason to, there is no reason not to do that. If they like genning pokemon and giving them away or battling in battle spot or free mode, what's the big deal? No one is getting hurt.
Your 5iv Adamant Linoon with Belly Drum and Extreme Speed is just as good.

Well it sure fucking felt like it. Unlike most, I have school and work to worry about. I'm lucky to have 2 hours of free time at the end of the day. I'm not spending those 2 hours on a fucking bike.

You keep shoving simulators onto everyone, yet it seems to be the perfect solution for yourself. You won't have to see hacked Pokemon!

As I said before, you have NO way of knowing if my Pokemon are hacked or not. The Mandibuzz I bread ages ago has 5 IVs and a Bold nature. I can recreate that same Mandibuzz stat for stat in Pokegen in minutes.

Hacking a poke, getting it on your gen 5 cart, and then banking it up to gen 6, and then making a team, finding someone to battle, getting started and then finally going through with it will eat up all of your time.

Me personally, I'm not just about the battling. That's not the only singular part of the game I enjoy, so simulators aren't for me. I don't hate simulators, though, in fact I think they're a great idea for those who do only care about battling and nothing else.

I still haven't heard a feasible excuse as to why they don't use simulators. They gen their pokes in order to save time, but making a team on a simulator is much faster. You also save money that way, because they are entirely free.

Showdown has the models, idiots are not fun to play (and if you're looking for wacky sets, you can find them on showdown as well in lower rankings), and if you're only playing the game for the sake of having a battle, then showdown will once again be more fun. You'd be (more likely) battling a more experienced player, it's quicker to find match after match, there are less annoying disconnects and you can cancel a move if you pick the wrong one by accident.

According to why genners gen their pokemon, every reason they give is actually more suited for simulators.

Personally, I don't gen, but I can see its use for getting Event only pokes and Event only moves. It's an equalizer. Anyone can use it to gen pokemon for battling online. It's not a big deal. Genned Pokemon are entirely legal. Battle Analyzer is not. GF put in natures, IVs and shit because they wanted people to use them. If you want to complain then complain that the almighty creators gave "legitimate" players no way to logically get them without RNG or genning.

In the mean time, I'll be playing with some legends I downloaded off of Pokecheck, because I find them fun to use and I'm not going to be crippled by GF's retarded systems.

Pokegen is the great equalizer. Pokegen lets everyone have Wish Chansey with a spread of 31IVs without needing to be in a specific place at a specific time. GF built these inequalities into the game, Pokegen lets everyone fight at an equal level without having to worry about being gimped by GF's poor decisions.

Besides the fact that you have to spend a bunch of hours just to get good stuff off WT, FS is also limited to 2IVs and breeding single gender/genderless species is annoying as fuck. You're not going to be able to breed most Pokemon in less than 30 minutes, or an hour if you're unlucky. Yeah, it's easier if you can get 4-5IV leftovers, but it's pretty rare and someone still had to spend a ton of time getting those Pokemon.

But that's wrong. It's technically plausibly available for everyone and their mother to soft reset for Jolly Terrakion with good IVs, but the simple fact of the matter is that barely anybody does that.

The use of annoying legendaries and pokemon with tutor moves is 99% genners' fault. Without them, sure, you'd run into the odd Articuno here or there, or maybe something with a tutor move but garbage IVs, but that would be a much, much rarer sight to see. It would be one every two thousand battles instead of one every five. Get what I'm saying?

To be fair, Gen V tutors have quite a chance of being legit. BW2 are just 1½ years old and many people will have them legitly. When combined with several shinies, legends or event-only moves, you most likely got yourself a genner though.

Until gen 6 2 decent IVs were the most you could get without taking months to do it and tutor moves aren't available in gen 6 yet.

But that is a legitimate argument. Hackers hack for the sake of convenience, they don't care about raising pokemon or any of that stuff, they just want to battle. Simulators allow them to battle quickly with very little investment in a competitive environment. They also save money by getting the same experience without having to buy a 3DS and a game.

You continue to lose, but that's your fault. Not the pokegen. And you act as if people only pokegen to battle competitively, a nice majority of people use it to transfer pokemon they might not otherwise been able to transfer. Maybe their internet is down and they don't have access to friend safari, or fucking trading.
