>>18528728It's a cultural thing, partially. There's been some evidence that language impacts perception and how we think. A person who has been raised to recognize green and blue as one color (aoi), will have difficulty differentiating them. Russians also have different words for light blue and dark blue, and to them, they are different colors.
This is sort of changing though. "Midori" often gets used for green now, while ao and aoi is more blue, though you will still see green or blue-green.
