Welp, I just lost at Super Singles on battle 172. So close, yet so far.
For those of you that failed your journeys to 100 or 200 wins, what did you lose to?
My loss was due to my own incompetence. I'd been running a Cloyster (with Shell Smash, obviously) and it had taken me quite far. On the 172nd battle the first thing that the trainer sent out was a Hawlucha, and I thought to myself, "Okay, I'll just go for the Shell Smash, and I'll survive any hit it throws at me since I'm sashed. From there, I'll just go for the sweep, as usual." And so it goes for the Power Herbed Sky Attack, doing about 40% while I get the Shell Smash in. Next turn I'd attempt to go for the Icicle Spear, but what I didn't consider was that Hawluchas can come with Unburden. So I was outsped, it went for the Flying Press, and I lost my Cloyster. My last two Pokemon were a Volcarona and megamom, so you can imagine how well that went. Oh, well.
Guess I'm done with maison for a long while.
