In the Anime, how come Meowth has never evolved into a Persian?

Koffing and Ekans also sucked ass at capturing Pikachu but yet they still somehow gained enough experience to evolve in Arbok and Weezing.

This shit's been addressed in the anime - it took too much out of the little guy to learn to speak English. That's why he can't evolve and why he can't learn Pay Day.

Meowth was trying to imrpess a female Meowth, and so he learned how to walk and to talk, expending too much energy to ever evolve (or to learn Pay Day). Bitch rather rode an alpha Persian, though.

I think the plot about him trying to learn Night Slash was dropped. He hasn't mentioned it in awhile from what I've seen.

Be a cool move for him though. It'd be funny watching him claw his way through Ghosts and stuff.

When's the last time Meowth got any exp?

Using the water bucket+scratch on Brock's onix and winning against the dick persian are the only times I've seen him win. That's not enough to evolve

the anime has different rules regarding power and evolution, pokemon evolve whenever the fuck they want and power scales with their bond to their trainer.
That's why Ash can win 8th gym battles with unevolved starters.
