The series is very clearly catered toward 6 year olds, what with the Pokemon saying their names and driving home the merchandise. I remember 2 years ago they showcased a 5 minute Black and White 2 special, seemed a little more mature (in before edgy), I'd watch something like that. The only good episodes of the Anime are the gym battles and Elite Four matches. There's literally 0 character development and it's because it's meant to sell the franchise to new fans.
