Even weirder Leaf Green haven't become Water Blue (which is a registered name), so they called Rival Green and Heroine Blue, but then again in HG/SS Rival was Blue. What? What's the point of that? I hope they'll come back to original naming one day again.
A Female Heroine predating Kris as a playable character would be a nice addition to original R/G/B, I've heard she was deleted in the last minute decision due to rom's filesize on cartridge, she was even featured on official artworks seen in Japanese and International gameguides, and well, that one origami comic, but not in game itself!
Even more interesting is how they would handle her in Yellow, would her starter be a Pikachu or perhaps... Clefairy/Jiglypuff? If she was introduced in R/G/B, who would be Ash Ketchu's partner, she or Misty? And what effects would that have on Pokémon Yellow (which was, unlike what people commonly think, only loosely based on anime).
I prefer her classic design, she was only Heroine to have no hat. Her FR/LG design looks like swap of FR/LG Red, but instead of looking red, her costume is blue. That's probably why people give her reverse Red personality, none at all, or girly as you said. Shame she have not interacted with Red in FR/LG akin to May and Brendan, maybe then she would be featured in Origins... Besides Manga Special and FR/LG/Colosseum/XD: GoD she also appeared in continuation of Pokémon Pocket Monsters manga, Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire. I wish she made cameo in anime during Battle Frontier (as they were made to basically advertise FR/LG), in other mangas, HG/SS and in Origins.
Really underappreciated character, sadly. She is my favourite Heroine, alongside Kris.
