I dunno. I liked the idea of it sacrificing power for accuracy. Sacrificing defense for offense seems like the opposite of what I wanted the mega to evoke.

Nah, this is a bad idea.
Not every pokemon is supposed to be an OU fast sweeper.
Durant is already good for the truant entrainment gimmick, it doesn't really need anything else.

In essence, it's a permanent Wide Guard. Bastiodon becomes immune to Earthquake, which is the only Ground-type move you'll ever see, as well as Surf, Heat Wave, Rock Slide, Blizzard, Water Spout, Eruption, Dark Void, and a host of lesser moves.

It's still going to take hideous damage from Fighting-types, though, and it still dies horribly to Mold breaker Excadrill. Besides, Bastiodon is really, really bad. It needs and deserves some Parental Bond-tier bullshit to bring its theoretical Mega up to par.

Rock Head with a big boost to Speed and smaller ones to its Attack and Defenses is the obvious solution. The addition of a Fighting-subtyping might also help, but Rock combos so poorly with everything that I'm a bit hesitant.
