Why is the bottom screen UI in X/Y so shit compared to HG/SS and so on? Why the fuck is there only those three screens to look at during field play? Is there any reason they didn't keep it similar to those I just mentioned? That felt so much cleaner/helpful in the long run.

It's not as good as HG/SS, but it's definitely not bad. Way better than the abomination that was Gen V's bottom screen.

I just want to be able to select what I see on the bottom. That friend shit, friendship crap, and the stat thing really didn't need a facing at all times in the UI.

good lord yes, the c-gear was fucking awful.

To me the GOAT is the Poketch though. Never has there been something with so much useful sutff on it. If we had a poketch like lower screen with gen 6's online features and super training's easy viewing of EV spreads that would be the best.

What about Sinnoh's bottom screen? It had about 23 unique features (some where good or bad) and it was useful for breeding, berries, chaining etc.

I never understood why GameFreak introduces so many features which are removed the next generation, like how Gen 5 had the Area checker where you could see which Pokemon appeared in a certain Route or the Empty Space in your Bag in Gen 5.

I never got the hang of the Black/White one and I hate how they threw pokeballs and other shit all in the same pocket in X/Y

I think the only inventory improvement X/Y made is Y pulling up four things mapped to the d-pad.

Everything had its own poket.

I can't stand that pokeballs and only some medicine items get shoved in one pouch, and only some other medicine items get tossed in another.

Balls should just be in their own pocket.

It`s definitely up to preference, but I really liked its bag. Very neat and tidy, sorting through medicine, balls, and tms was hands-down the best in those games.

I don`t really care if somebody cheats or not in older pokemon games, it's just silly to complain that a feature is rendered useless when you're cheating or doing something the game never intended. By that logic, tms are useless, the daycare is useless, being able to catch wild pokemon is useless, etc.
