Magcargo has les total base stats than a starter mid evo. And 2 common *4 weaknessees, and no usable ability, and an underwhelming movepool making it unable to neither attack or defend against anything.
It's shit, and even a mega wouldn't save it since it would only give it the base stats of an evolved starter.
The only reason to use it is for egg hatching.
