In the beginning, all pokemon were Mew.
They all evolved to what fit best in the environment they lived in/whatever the hell they wanted. One stayed as a Mew, so it's the only one.
Humans included in with this, but they were so dramatically different Arceus no longer recognizes them as it's "children."
Humans can still use some pokemon moves.
Aura abilities = Sir Aaron/Riley (I'll get back to these guys in a few)/ The guy in "The Keystone Pops!" episode.
Super-human strength = that one guy with the Mr. Mime who could Ice Punch (the guy was kinda super-human. Jumping high and shit.)
All the rangers. Fucking Kellyn forearmed and aura-sphere that had previously blown through walls and Iron truck doors like they weren't there at all.
Sir Aaron/Riley. They are the same people. At the end of "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew," you could clearly see the Tree of Beginning had brought both Aaron and Lucario back to life.
Tying into that, the Tree of Beginning if actually a focal point that serves as a recharger for Arceus's lifeforce. You sacrifice yourself for the good of the tree, god says thanks and poof, back to life you go.
