Its a piece of cake and takes less time for gen 1-5 HA pokemon if you pokegen the parents to have 6IVs. Gen 6 pokemon who can't be genned....I feel ya man

Why does anyone want 6 IVS? For example, a physical attacker is not going to using its special attack stat, and special attackers are better off with 0 IVS in Attack, because of Foul Play.

OP is probably talking about breeding a mixed attacker. People who breed 6IV on their specials are probably newbies who think "if the pokemon is 6IV, it's perfect for competitive!" What dumbasses.

mixed attackers want 6 31 IVs. Special attackers need 6 specific IVs regardless, so it's just as much of a pain in the ass. When I say "6 IVs," I mean 6 optimal IVs, not necessarily 31

I've personally done it with a Froakie. Full 31 naive protean. I think i made 15 boxes of them (i.e 450), 9 of boxes to get the last step.

Females have a better chance of breeding down the hidden ability (maybe) and they pass down the pokeball whereas the male doesn't. Males might be preffered if the person getting the pokemon is trying to breed that one. Otherwise in battle, i'm going to assume it's because they want to show the female is typically more rare or in case someone wants to pull the infatuation bullshit.

Meanwhile it took me 4 boxes of Elekid with just the regular ability to get a 6IV.
Just run Adamant Electivre.
