>>18590903Like a remake would be boring. We've been there done that, and know what's going to happen.
What if they made sequels, with new and interesting stories and better music than the shit the originals had.
Off the top of my head how about this:
Kyogre and Groudon had an epic battle sometime after R/S/E. In the Ruby sequel, Groudon untimely won the battle, the island is raising and land is appearing where there once was ocean/sea. In the Sapphire sequel, Kyogre won and the island is sinking with land disappearing as it is being over taken by the waters. The games would have you as the protagonist trying to correct the imbalance created by this epic battle. You go around attempting to find and revive the either Groudon or Kyogre so that it can battle with it's opposite and bring back the balance. You do so only to find that while balance has been restored, it's a chaotic balance with various parts of the island in a constant flux of raising and sinking. You then learn about the legend of Rayquaza and the hero who came before you. So you then change gear to seek out and awaken the mighty sky dragon to restore order to Hoenn. And there something about gyms, badges, and The Elite Four thrown in there.
Nintendo would make more money from a sequel than a remake.
Remake = boring ass predictable shit
Sequel = something new and exciting
