>>18597029>252+ SpA Mega Alakazam Psyshock vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Gardevoir: 127-150 (45.6 - 53.9%) -- 46.9% chance to 2HKO>It resists you know.I never bothered to do that damage calc, I was pulling it out of my ass.
>If Gardevoir burns Scizor on the switch in then it can just switch to something not weak to steel, because Scizor is going to be useless for the rest of the match unless it gets cured. It doesn't beat Scizor, but it supports its team by burning it. This is why wisp is a very valuable move on gardevoir.Yes, but thats not the point. The point was switch ins, which scizor does to great effect since it threatens gardevoir even when it has a burn.
>252 SpA Mega Gardevoir Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heatran: 216-256 (55.9 - 66.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recoveryFocus blast is unreliable, which makes it more of a 3hko. Not only that but using focus blast on something as frail as gardevoir is a risk you shouldn't take, one miss can spell her death.
>great switch in. Also who the fuck runs Iron Head on Heatran?I do, because no one expects it. Just like no one expects pain split on my gardevoir, or hypnosis an nightmare on my absol.
>Very few things are capable of switching in to a set of Hyper Voice/Psyshock/Focus Blast or HP Ground, and nearly anything that can is vulnerable to burns. Aegislash is about the only thing that can, but when burned it can only use shadow ball. You can't get every prediction right anywhere near 100% of the time, and one wrong prediction can ruin your match. Let me reiterate, i'm not saying gardevoir is bad, i'm saying it can't take physical hits for shit and the things that threaten it can generally switch it easily.
>>18597045Insanity wins matches. They expect you to switch into something else, so they overpredict and get fucked over.
