If you needed it explained to you again, why you won't be getting Gen 3 remakes, here it is.

The point being that Gen 3 DOES NOT have a special place in most people hearts, gen 1 pokemon and Kanto will be revisited over and over again but gen 3 got brushed to the side and forget just like gen 4, gen 5 and gen 6 will once gen 7 rolls around

Gen 3 were the biggest failures of the entire series
why would they remake the biggest failures? If anything they'll re-remake gen 1 in the new fancy gen 6 graphics

Remaking a game take almost as much effort as making an entirely new game because you do have to create all the areas again using the new graphics engine

the only time you save is on the concept design, well not even that because it's going to look different with improved graphics (GSC =/= HGSS)

New story and a post game, and we're set

The endgame would have to be fucking good though. I blaze through Kanto everytime. I know it far too well. Endgame in leaf green was seriously lacking.

Exactly. It's like how Power Rangers pushes the current brand while also pushing the original MMPR. People know the first generation, and by including them it helps to keep the Fifa shenanigans accessible.

said, if we were at Gen VII now, Nintendo would be advertising Gen 1 Pokemon as well as the Gen 7 starters or some other popular Gen 7 pokemon. Gen VI would be brushed aside, just like II to Now.

Pokemon's peak years were the late 90s, during Gen 1. Ask anyone over 20 and they'll tell you who the Gen 1 starters are, or at least remember them somewhat. Ask anyone else about Gen 2-Current pokemon and you'll probably get more "never seen those pokemon before" than "yes, I know who they are."
