Probably around 13 still, +/- 2 shinies, not enough of a difference to call it definitive.
If you only find like 5-6 shines though, then we would be able to draw a solid conclusion.

There are chains, MMing, and getting the shiny charm after you complete the national dex. Some IVs help with getting a shiny if I'm correct.

There is a variable that determines which safari is "lucky". There, chances of finding shinies are higher. This explains why after hunting a long time in one safari and changing safaris a shiny appears. The variable changes when entering or exiting a safari.
I had 10k encounters by exiting and re-entering the safari after every 10 encounters and found 13 shinies. Now I'm having 10k more encounters without exiting the safari and comparing results.

I didn't explain the method because I tought everyone here knew it, sorry.

Well, it's just a theory, that's why I'm testing it.
The way I tested it was by having 10 encounters, exiting and re-entering the same safari. I found 13 shinies in 10k encounters, with 4 being before 1000.
I should point out that I do not have the shiny charm and I lead with an Illuminate Chinchou.

Agreed on that I hate the fact that some people just create teams based on stats and calculations. Takes all the joy out of it and turns it into a maths battle.
I was on the fence about klefki, but when I caught my shiny I was swayed. Don't use him for battle though, hes just one for the collection.

Oh God, do I know this feel. But I have to disagree with disliking what Klefki has done to the meta (aside from fucking SwagPlay). I've used two sets very successfully, one being a SubCM set and the other being DualScreens.

It was the same with Greninja, everybody bashing it because of the tongue scarf, because of frail Water/Dark shite, but after they found out how Protean works fucking everybody loved it.

But I loved the idea of a mischievous lil' fairy stealing & holding onto keys from different era's in time. I thought GameFreak should do some kind of event where you download a Klefki holding a key as a Key Item, that you can take and open a secret door or something, would have been cool as hell.

Roxie had her entire pose changed for the game, due to her gesture. It's a sign of disrespect in Japan, to emphasize her rebellious nature, but it was deemed inappropriate, and they feared it was too indistinguishable, in that it could be easily mistaken for her flipping the bird.

Despite this, a lot of fanart and cosplayers still use this pose, and occasionally flip the bird anyway.

It's not a show. Its from the animated movie; Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox.

If you are unfamiliar with comics, it's essentially the story that causes the franchises re-boot, so they go all out and aren't afraid to kill main characters.

It's cool, and works as a love-letter to all pre-reboot DC stuff. Blaqualad from Young Justice makes an appearance, as does Ron Pearlmans Deathstroke (Slade in Teen Titans)

If you're into DC, or good animation in general, I'd recommend it.

flashpoint paradox was great, as are a lot of the animated DC movies lately.
Favourite is probably Red Hood, but I am a sucker for anything batman, and when the comic came out I was hooked.

I freakin love that scene. Favourite scene is the confrontation at the end though, hood pointing the gun at batman.

One of the finest scenes in any film. animated or not.

I was so intensely involved when I first read Hush. The whole reveal of Jason Todd and I really hoped he was back, but then it turned out to be clayface.
But i knew that he was coming, it seemed to imply there was more too it than that.
Then when red hood appeared, and it all came to this moment, it was one of the greatest moments in comic history. And the animated version just nailed it.
I've always like Jason Todd, and somewhere in this bombsite of a room I have the first issue he appeared in. A friend bought it for me, really cheap while on holiday in some little book store. It's probably not worth much but I liked the idea of a scrappy street punk becoming robin.

Depends on how you calculate it this gen. It's under some debate.

In gen V, odds of getting a shiny normally was 1/8192, and the charm added 1/4096, making it 3/8192, so the 300% increase you mean.
This gen, the odds were doubled to 1/4096 all the time, so people wonder if the charm adds the same amount that is used to, which would bring us to 2/4096 or 1/2048, or if it adds 2/4096, which would be 3/4096. I'm among the 1/2048 camp.

This is legit, though. Also, I release my breeding rejects in waves, which I assume is how anyone does it. It's not one lone baby suddenly off on its own, it's got boxes of its brothers and sisters to back each-other up.

Also, all pokemon babies are battle-ready the moment they hatch.

well, you won't have to worry about gender at least. The thing is to try and find a nature that both genders can work from. Then always aim for HA. At least with espurr, if you get a female with own tempo you can capsule it. With ralts, it'll be harder because they two genders are so very different, but try to pick a nature that won't ruin the both of them. or you could put that torture off and go after solrock.

I have a question regarding the sudden change in music while chaining for shinies in grass/flowers. It's said that when this music plays, you should reset your pokeradar as many times as you can before the tempo returns to normal as it means you have an increased chance of finding a shiny patch. I've reset my radar every time this music has occurred (and I chain a LOT so I've heard it a lot by now) and I've never once seen a shiny patch from it. Usually the tempo returns to normal after 1 or 2 resets, but on one occasion it lasted for 5 resets (and still no shiny patch). Am I doing something wrong or is this just bad luck on my end? I wouldn't bank on it though, as I've heard that it just means mons may have more iv's then normal while the music is changed. I really wouldn't bother unless you need to reset anyway, because I've very rarely had the music last after a one or two resets

I don't hunt shinies in the wild for IV's. I usually just do it for fun to add to my collection or for a friend who wants a particular colored mon. In this case, I'm chaining for a pink ducklett for my friend and had that strange music pop up on only the 3rd chain, but alas no shiny bush. Would be nice if this music does have to do with an increase in shinies because I've had my chain break in the mid 30's plenty times already!

I believe the chance of getting a shiny through mm is around 1/1300 (?) so it only really starts getting better at 35. But at 40, you really are pretty much guaranteed a shiny. Every time I've gotten a chain of 40 (and I've gotten 5) I only had to reset the radar a max number of 5 times before the shiny patch appeared (usually only 2). My chain just broke at 32, haha. I tried resetting over and over at 31 but wanted to try for one more chain to increase my chances a little more. Also, I've noticed that in the regular grass, my chains seem to break MUCH more frequently than in the pokevillage's yellow flowers. I chain the exact same way in both areas, but I've successfully gotten 4 shiny ditto from there and a shiny noctowl with no hassle at all.

Going off of the way they're calculating the odds in the second link, I think it's likely that the new odds of shininess, 1/4096, would probably equate to a starting chain value of 16/65536, and it would add more the same way, resulting in a maximum chain of 40 resulting in 336/65536 or about 1/195. That or everything is doubled, but I think that's a lot less likely.

hmm I've made it past 40 up to 70 without running into shiny patches, it really is based on luck because you ARE NOT guaranteed a shiny at 40. You aren't guaranteed a shiny ever with a chain, but the numbers are in your favor for you to. I prefer hunting in purple flowers, it let's me tell which grass patch is the best, but it really depends on the pokemon you're chaining because some are more rare in certain parts of the area. Like furfrou are rare in the flowers, but average in the grass. So you might see your chain breaking more frequently because the mon you are hunting is more rare in the yellow flowers.

Also, I believe that the MM rate for shinies is a little less than that, since its 1/4096 naturally. It would be more like 1/683 because that 1/1300 is the old gen

But you don't need to continue past chain 40, since it stays at 1/200 no matter how far past 40 your chain gets, and that would just risk breaking your chain. I don't know, it just seems I am definitely able to get shiny ditto within 30 or 40 minutes at an easy chain of 40 guaranteed (which is part of the reason I chained 4 shiny ditto to test this, haha) while I've tried over and over to get shiny ducklett and my chain breaks when I'm so close.

I don't mind because when I shiny hunt i'm hunting for good iv shinies. If you make it to 60 any mon you catch will have at least three IVs. at 20 its 1, at 40 its 2. You may have more due to the nature of luck, but you will always have those ivs.
