>>18605997I'd rather that they bother to give him a personality in Z. One of the nice things about Gen V was that they actually bothered to give the gym leaders a bit more characterization and development. X/Y was a big step back in that regard.
That being said, the Gen IV anime was also really good in terms of how gym leaders were handled, so even if nothing changes in the games, better development in the anime would be nice also, and it kind of seems like they're heading in the right direction on that.
