Why do peeps use those high-damage high-risk moves when they cannot risk missing? Just stick to 100% moves or take the miss like a man.

Don't even care about competitive battling. The rng in the battle masion is the bane of my existence.

It's in my belief that the Maison always try to make the worst scenario ever for you to beat. Yup, that includes that cheating OHKO on all your 3 pokemon.

I know. I've only beaten Super Singles for the trophy so far. Seems that when you finally come up with a hard to counter strategy, they just rely on rng hax. Confusion, Paralyze, ect.

Is it really that bad? I've felt that the battle maison is fair this gen. At least 1000 times more fair than any battle facility in the past. I run monotype bug and I've never really gotten too far in the past, but I broke 40-50 passing plenty of opportunities for the AI to fuck me over

weird things happen against mono types. I've ran fire mono type teams and fought like 5 abomasnows in a row. but there'll still be cheating and aggressive counterpicking.

most teams will have weirdly specific berries. i've ran toxic, and have they cure it with the berry specifically meant for poison instead of the lum berry. i feel like that's just meant to piss off the player.

Things like focus blast are just bullshit though. I think everyone would rather have a weaker but more accurate special fighting move with as good of a distribution as focus blast.
