It's obvious that both of them are inspired by kangaroos, but neither of them are even close. Khan is just a big, generic marsupial beast, looks very prehistoric. Breloom is a fighting fungi, and has a similar posture, feet, and tail to a kangaroo, but not much else.
A proper kangaroo would be cool.

I don't know man. It's a very niche concept that's already been taken twice.
And both of the main features of kangaroos have already been use, Kangaskhan being all about motherhood and Breloom being the stereotypical boxing kangaroo.
I don't see a lot more to do with that concept at this point.

Really ALL it has on orcas is a random spot and a mouth. Its fins and tails are far from (helll it has fingers). Generic sharp teeth you can find in sharks.
Its lore base is closer to whales anyway since orcas really don't dive down deep and are found in the colder oceas and not where you would find whatever groudons are based off of with volcanos spreading land.

I am not disputing kyogre is based of an orca, I am disputing we don't have a proper orca that we can actually breed and adventure with.

I get what you want is a common "killer whale", probably dark/water?, instead of a "god of the sea", and that's a pretty cool idea, but it's a very concrete species. It's not like they made it a very vague cetacean, no, they made its face resemble an orca very clearly. There's no other cetacean that it resembles more, at least aesthetically.
Two pokemon based off such a specific, characteristic animal, I just don't see it happening. Only in fakemon games completely separated from the main franchise.

I've always seen Malamar as not something lovecraftian, but a good adaptation of what Humboldt squids do irl. They confuse and entrance fish or other prey by changing color patterns on their skin really fast, which gives an illusion of "flashing".
While Tangrowth is an undefined mass of tentacles surrounding a body that no one ever gets to see. Which, aesthetically, is basically the essence of lovecraftian creatures.

Fenrir is non-elemental and bit Tyr's hand. Feels more like a Steel type than anything else due to bounded by chains.

Garm is actually a dog, more like a hellhound. Dark type at least.

There's also Freki and Geki I think? Wolves who ate the Sun and Moon.

Usually I look at Pokemon types we need and pokemon that fit.

Three Fossil ideas are a Rock/Electric pokemon based on Dimetrodons and Rock/Poison Tar Pokemon (Pokemon discovered and stuck in tar or possibly a failed experiment) And a Rock/Ghost Skeleton Velociraptor.

Also would suggest a Flamingo Pokemon with Fire or Grass instead of Flying
