>>18618814To be fair, the point of luck being luck and not skill is any retard could do it. Any retard could have been in Craig Jones' place at Pro Tour Honolulu, the Lightning Helix was always going to be on the top of the deck because luck of the draw had made things so. However, not every retard would have charred to the face to ensure that Helix off the top would win (a more conservative player may have sat on the char and missed their opportunity) and a retard wouldn't have made it so far in the tournament.
Look at that retard Versilify (or however it is spelled, I honestly can't recall). He plays teams that rely entirely on RNG elements going his way (evasion stacking, dark voiding [which is not only RNG on accuracy, but RNG in VGC tourneys for coming up against Meowstic-M or Lum Berry], paraflinching). His tactics give him many wins, and his natural experience (which I wouldn't say is as good as he makes out, but it exists through sheer time spent in the game) give him some more. However, he still gets outdone by Wolfe's weird but logical and consistent teams, by Ray Rizzo's sensible play and good tech, hell, by someone that has a decent knowledge of the game and netdecks (netteams?). Luck is luck, any retard can use it as a crutch. It will not be as consistent as skill, because the team with skill can also maximise its luck, whereas the team with only luck can't make up for lack of skill.
