Okay husbando/waifufags and shipfags of /vp/, it's time to settle this. Who is the best male and female protagonist of the main games?

Most of them have almost no canon personality to speak of, so let's just stick with their concept design and any previous bias you had (example, Pokémon Special manga counterparts).

To attempt to avoid the most common kind of butthurt, the female protagonist in gen 1 and its remakes is going to be refered as Green. Please bear with this decision but feel free to disagree and post about it.
