Again, I stated that DCing is suitable for time saving, and that there is no "saving face" unless your concept of "face" is a tick on some win loss record stored on Nintendo's SQL database linked to
pokemon.gl. That's pretty sad. No one is going to go look for the results of that match later, because no one cares. It's between you and the other player.
If you payed any attention to my argument, why would you state that winners don't quit as a counterargument? Of course you're going to take the extra time to bask in every precious second of a win you acquired through a variety of different means.
This "noble" idea of an "official" victory is stupid and you deserve nothing. You're playing pokemon on a 3DS. Get over yourself.
I'll also add that I play a relatively competent team and chances are you will all run into it at some point, and I WILL do the unthinkable.
