So I recently decided to teach myself spriting. I started with pic related. Is it any good? Constructive criticism or unrelenting praise welcome. What should i try doing next?

I'm not an expert about making sprites, but they look pretty good, but what's with the middle one? Or is the left one that blocks the wing?

I may say that if you are just learning try something "easy" so you can dominate the technique and then move to more complicated mons. Charizard is like so-so level though, and it lokks great.

I think he was revamping third sprite and used second one as a base for colours, his sprite being the first one.

Yeah this is just a revamp. i used the color scheme (and hopefully style) of the second one and applied it to the pose of the third one. The third is from Yellow and the middle is from Fire Red

Oh that. Sorry about the confusion (well now everything makes sense, I was wondering why you did those other sprites). Still my critic hasn't change, it looks great.
