I wish it werent, uu megas are pretty limited, but, from my experience, mega houndoom would probably be too fast and strong down there.

Metagross is still fine, it's just another thing it has to watch out for (you can OHKO it with erfquake if it tries to switch in, anyway.)

It's always had Chandelure anyway.

I'm not so certain, it's definitely among the most powerful sweepers in the tier. With flash fire on regular houndoom and victini being common, it's probably not too tough to get out and set up. a +2 flash fire fire blast is gonna hurt everything, and dark pulse for anything else.

Houndoom is the only Dobermann pokemon in the game, it had ONE chance of being good and they screwed it up, in terms of design and viability...
Look at this ugly piece of shit, it's basically Houndoom with a lot of useless and heavy ornaments.
One of the worst megas for one of the best mons.

I really don't.
I find it unoriginal because it just gets ornaments, and nothing else.
Most of the megas look original, very powerful or recieve a new theme.
Houndoom a big boney thing.

Earthquake barely 2HKO's all you need is one turn so that you can Nasty plot and OHKO it
Focus Blast does do 113%-134%, but then again, it has to actually HIT. in that case, Hound doom can either switch out and easily come back in again unthreatened or ruin substitute.

That's not what i'm saying.
All I'm saying is that Houndoom can counter the only two viable countering moves Charizard has through either taking the blow and setting up or sub stalling/switching. I'm not going to say that is better than most megas, but it certainly can be used almost unsupported in every tier.

I actually haven't run Houndoom in a while, but i based calculations off a basic sweeper set:

Timid
4hp/ 252Sp.at/ 252Spe

Moves:
Heat Wave
Dark Pulse
Solar Beam
Nasty Plot

These moves aren't the best moves around, but after at +2, they're all extremely formidable. Because it is so fast and has decent bulk, You can set up on a neutral hit or two.

you can take an earthquake.
not being able to take a focus blast, your only options are to switch or sub stall to force it in to wasting focus miss' PP on breaking them, which will easily open up the opportunity to set up when it does miss.
