Furthermore, Grass-types as a whole aren't quite as bad off defensively as their numbers imply: Five weaknesses stops looking so bad when you remember that two of them are Poison and Bug, and that they come with resistances to Water, Electric, and Ground. Rock-types have the exact opposite problem: Water, Ground, and Fighting are GOAT offensive types, Grass is actually pretty good for coverage, and Steel is present on many things that are good. They have a few good resistances to Fire and Flying, but a Normal resistance hasn't been relevant since Gen II, while resisting Poison hasn't been relevant ever.
That said, Aurorus could've been saved. Here's how:
