Alright guys, we are going to try to make a champion so awesome that it makes the invention of porn look like a joke.
Here are the categories for making him/her:
>Name
>Backstory
>Side-Career (ex: Diantha is also an actor and Cynthia is an archaeologist)
>Physical Appearance and Personality
>Pokemon team (bonus points if you can make it theme-based, also point out his/her ace pokemon)
>Theme song (optional)

I'd like to see a military Champion.
Something like a general, (maybe even related somehow to Lt. surge.
His team theme should be about honorable/vicious looking pokemon. Steel, dragon and fighting types come to mind.
His backstory could be about him and the military making a Coup d'Etat and the player could be part of a revolution to install the old government back.

Team could be Gyarados, Lucario, Salamence, Heatran (maybe the military government has started a campaign to capture all legendaries) Gengar and Skarmory. But this is just my first thought and I'm pretty high right now, so I don't really know if it sounds and Good at all

I like quite the classic "your rival is the champion" theme. His team should be automatically generated to counter your team.

What if the champion is an ex-member of the game's villanous team? He regrets his previous actions and went on a crusade/quest to repent and make the world a safe place.

Maybe he could be a bit of an extremist, wanting to crush the team no matter what, wherever they stand, and ge t carried away without paying much attention to who's getting in the crossfire. Ultimately he'd be a good guy, but a bit too on the sentimentalistic-explosive side.

Signature pokemon could possibly be one that is seen recurring in the team. Maybe a Crobat

And he should switch intelligently and maybe even do some predictions (simple stuff. Like if you switch your grass starter out to a fire pokemon, he predicts that you'll do that again, so if that matchup ever happens again, he'll use EQ instead of Flame Thrower)

That's what's missing from champ battles.

Also, your rival should be a RIVAL. Like, an antagonist. Not necessarily a bad person, but someone that challenges you. Gen I and II did this perfectly, even if Silver didnt end up being the champion.

Barry was pretty good about that, too. Obviously not as good as Blue and Silver, but he's easily the 3rd best rival we've ever gotten.

I wanted the team to reflect each of the four Executives from HG/SS. The Honchkrow is for Giovanni, and MKanga is because LRG started a family after leaving his life of crime.
