The male's mane lights up brightly when it uses special attacks. It looks neat.

The female's doesn't, but her mane does constantly blow in the wind, kinda like Arcanine from Stadium.

Pyroar isn't a top tier Pokemon, but it is great at what it does do. I've used one extensively.

I never used one, so it took me a while to realize that Female wasn't a devolved version of Male.

That said, it looks kinda cooler.

It's also quite neat that the bits that glow is in the shape for the Kanji for fire.

I wish the female one had an equivalent design quirk.

Male, use Rivalry one with Entrainment and Will-o-Wisp to nullify Mega-Kanga. It's 6 points faster.

Wish it didn't have a mismatched hidden ability though. It looks like it wants to be Gen VI's Arcanine, when it's really just a fast special attacker.
