How much do you guys think Smogon has caused people to have bias toward pokemon based on their tiers?

As in, almost have seething hatred toward some pokemon because of their perceived competitive ineffectiveness, often amplified by their subjectively bad design, abilities, moves, stats, other kinks and so on.
