Suicune, hands down. One YEAR trying to get it on Colosseum (half an hour for a chance, and still the old 1/8192 rate), plus some time on Fire Red (2-3 months, more or less), plus one month soft resetting on Heartgold.

Data so far is still 17 shinies for 9030 encounters, with shiny charm. I doubt I'll reach 20 shinies for 10K unless I'm under extreme luck. something around 1/512 seems to shape up, though.

P much, enter a safari, encounter all three mons then exit, then re-enter, rinse and repeat. The theory is that there is a 1/100 chance the safari you enter is "lucky" and the first Pokémon you encounter of a species is guaranteed to be a shiny. Just a theory, but Lucca is still testing it.

Safari has higher odds. Simply running around in there will get you a Shiny eventually.

Alternatively, Lucca's theory suggests a 1/?? chance of entering a "Lucky Safari" where the first encounter of a Pokemon is a guaranteed Shiny.

Because of this some people have been doing the following;
>Enter Safari
>Encounter 10 Pokemon
>Leave
>Enter again

Just in case the theory holds true, this would give you the best odds of finding a Shiny, although the whole enter/exit thing is more time consuming than just running in the grass.

Apparently /shw/ really likes Kill la Kill. Well it turns out I really like Kill la Kill. So much so that I'm willing to put more time and effort into shit like this than some of my actual hunts! Using this fantastic wallpaper from the second intro as a basis, I remade the entire image from scratch slowly. The text now says 'Hunt la Hunt', which turns out to be very similar in pronunciation to 'Kill la Kill', and that was an unintended but funny coincidence. It's probably hard to make out the figures at the bottom as Masuda and Mareep, but they're there, because it wouldn't be a /shw/ pic without 'em.

Pidgeys, Duckletts, (infact most of the early game bird pokemon), Rattatas, poliwag, vibrava, magikarp, zubats, ladyba, maybe some sudowoodo.
I live near a canal and a large park with plenty of woodland, so really any bird, small bug or grass type is possible around here.

Ghent was brilliant. I took one of my favourite photos there, the Gent from Ghent.
Not really a brilliant photo but this was early in the morning, sun just coming up and this old fella was in a full suit and hat just out to get the paper. Had to take the pic.

Would definetly go back to Ghent and Bruges, although Brussels was a bit too hectic for me. I like the quiet.

Had to steal the pic from my own flickr page though, my photography hard drive isn't connected up right now.

Cheers, we spent most of the time there in that square around the big church, and inside it.
Was sort of a bus tour holiday, so had about 4-5 hours to look around, we were staying about 20 minutes walk from Bruges. Would love to have a day or two in Ghent, and same for Bruges again.

I was continuing my my safari raids for shinies, when I realized something.

This little guy appears in friend safaris.

Hawlucha is by far the one shiny I have wanted above all others. I attempted to Masuda one for months with no success, and now I have a possible way to get one without boxes of eggs.

TL;DR: I need a Hawlucha safari to get my shiny one. Anyone have one?

Both tests were run with the same conditions except one was run while re-entering the same safari after every 10 encounters.

Shiny Hawluchas are the hypest shit. I love my el Diablo. And Safari shinies are pretty good, especially since Hawluchas don't need egg moves. Make sure you bring a pokemon with synchronize and the right nature. My Golurk is a Safari shiny and it's been nothing but radical.

3000 eggs, not 30,000.
It was a long one but I eventually got my Frogue. Protean, luckily, but it was before I was good at breeding so he's only got 31's in Sp.Atk, Sp.Def and Speed.

Still love him though, he's what got me into this to start with.

Most of my time is spent collecting eggs. I gather 21 boxes of them then hatch in Lumiose. I collect about 10 a day if I'm diligent, hatch about 5 a day if I'm busy.

Some quests are a bit longer than others, though. Lileep was one of them.

If the IVs aren't in the mid 20's I look for another one. Sometimes the hunts are shorter, like with Growlithe (first one had 18 in Speed, second one appeared 4 boxes later and was missing Sp.Def).

5 weeks in and I still haven't gotten this bugger. I think I've filled somewhere around 105 boxes so far with an average of 3 boxes per day. That's about 3100 eggs I've hatched, but it's probably way more considering I release anything without the HA before I deposit, so probably double that. I told myself I would stop once my parent reached level 100, but I've come too far and wasted too much time to come out of this with nothing.

Took me exactly 33 boxes. First after 5, second after another one and the last Oddish on box 33 obviously.

I'm glad Mr. Masuda's wild ride is over and I can have at least a shone of each evolutionary stage of Oddish.

Just sayin here I have power saves, I have cloned all my shinies, but I aint giving them away. Basically I have them all on my main save file, and then clones on the bank, just in case I ever fuck up and loose the save accidentally.

Same here really. I did get a few shinies I was fairly sure werent legit from trades that I just wonder traded, got nothing decent back. Maybe someone not as bothered as me will enjoy them anyway.
And ever since I discovered the joys of the DS Adapter I have always backed up my save files and made copies of my shinies to be safe. I have a limited faith in technology.

Well according to the data gathered by smogon the rate is roughly 1/400 or something like that with MM+Charm. But after that it's all luck based. Some go to 89 boxes before they even see a shiny.

I see thanks. Well I am not going to use the MM method because for one, it is going to be really hard to get a foreign pokemon with the nature I want, much less it has good IVs. Second, for some reason there are ridiculous offers on the GTS where people want legendaries for say a Delphox for example.

I was accused of doing something wrong in my old job. We were installing PCs for a big company, and one PC that was installed was the wrong asset number, had the wrong programs installed, everything was wrong.
Boss told me that if it happened again Id be fired.
I then found out that the PC that went out was one the boss had set aside personally, but had put the wrong asset number on the job sheet, and it was basically his fault.
So when I was in the office next, he said jokingly "havent made any more mistakes today?"
and I replied "I am glad I am near the door now, because, it wasnt my fault. You fucked that one up." (yea we all swore alot, that wasnt a big issue)
He yelled at the top of his voice "What!?"
And I told him what hed done wrong. He calmly said "Oh yeah. fuck. Well then, sorry about earlier." and shook my hand.
Walked out of the office like a boss, team all looked amazed. One of my finest moments.

Its weird though because sometimes something will trigger them back to normality for a while. When my nan got really bad towards the end she didnt recognise anyone, and stopped eating for a bit.
But then one day the nurse tried to feed her her favourite food and she ate the whole thing, and suddenly was trying to talk again. Even said my dads name at one point, and even before she was diagnosed she mainly called my dad "him" as a joke.

the first time I got drunk was new years when I was 14.
My dad (a police officer) told me he was fine with me getting drunk so id know what it was like,
