>>18703096Well in your scenario, the only cheating ball is the "master" ball since that is the 100% guaranteed catch anything ball, and the best reason I can give as to why a pokemon caught in a master ball would still be satisfied being caught this way is that they feel the trainer recognizes their strength/rarity to the point where they absolutely HAD to catch them.
The part where pokemon can't explain and that is super fucked up is the breeding system. Pokemon bred from eggs get no chance to choose, they are destined to be your slave forever. And in some cases, trainers breed hundreds upon hundreds of pokemon just to get the right one and then dump the hundreds of rejects into the wild.
I imagine these hundreds of rejects are probably pretty lonely, actually... They probably miss the comfort and safety of getting to travel with a trainer. Sure, they have to still battle and will still get the shit beaten out of them and get knocked out, but out in the wild pokemon eat each other (as shown through several dex entries, anime episodes, NPC dialogue, etc), so it's still a far cry better. These lonely pokemon missing the good life are realistically the ones that would challenge you to a battle out in the wild in the hopes of being caught in a pokeball.
So, realistically speaking you could theoretically be doing most "wild" pokemon a favor by catching them, they might be so desperate to be safe and protected from wild predators that anything, even enslavement is better to them.
