I only supported Fairy type pre-gen 6 because it actually made sense and there was a lot of evidence for it. A lot of these other types people suggest are shitty and/or nonsensical

Jets and plane can fly, but a tornado doesn't much like the difference between rock and ground currently.

Split Flying into Bird and Wind.

Bird is 2x effective on Bug, Grass, and Fighting. Not very effective on Rock or Steel. Weak to rock, ice and electric.

Wind is 2x effective on Electric (knocking down power lines in a storm?), Flying (strong gusts of wind knocking birds out of the air), Fire and Ground (heavy winds blowing away dirt and sand). Not very effective against Water (turbulent tides only increase its power) or Steel. Weak to fire and itself.

It's a pretty dumb idea, but I thought it would be cool if each pokemon's type was composed of an elemental class and an alignment:
so for example Swampert would be Water | Reptile,
Hippowdon would be Earth | Beast,
or Magnezone would be Electric | Machine.

There's no reason in particular I want this, it's just because muh RPG canon.

This might sound 2 edgy, but void type. It would be for pokemon that don't naturally reside in the canon universe, pokemon like porygon, giratina, and unown. It would act like a buffed normal type with no resistances or weaknesses with exception of being weak to itself. That's not exactly right...I'm not sure what the resistances and weaknesses should be and I'm open to suggestion on that one. There are all sorts of ideas you can work with for void, quarks and atoms could work, as could a pokemon based on the rods cryptid, void/bug

Light is definitely implausible now that Fairy is a thing.

You could've have Moonlight, Solar beam, Signal Beam, Double Team, etc converted to Light but now that Fairy has Moonlight, Moonblast and Dazzling Gleam it's highly unlikely.

Solrock could switch to Fire/Cosmic, and Lunatone to Dark/Cosmic. And they could finally lose Levitate, and Solrock could switch its Attack stat with its Special Attack stat. BUT IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN EVER BECAUSE GAME FREAK HAVE SEEMINGLY FORGOT ABOUT THEM AND DON'T CARE.
