Why the hell is Smogon suspecting Swagger?
If it was broken before how is it broken now. Its the user breaking Swagger, not the move itself. Smogon has gotten to the point its bans are Konami level and they avoid hitting what everyone uses.
Next thing you know Baton Pass gets banned because Espeon breaks it

Stall battles dont even take that long
Unless it's stall vs stall, in which case nobody can complain because they both picked stall.
Even then, most battles will go up to 100+ turns and stop there

Smogon is allowed to test anything they want, it's their meta and if you don't like it, don't play it. Regardless, a suspect test is not a guaranteed ban and this knee-jerk reaction fuels about 4 or 5 daily threads on whatever Smogon's up to. Fuck /vp/ might as well be Smogon - News.

In regards to the actual topic of swagplay the only user of it that needs banned is Thundurus from OU. Swagger itself is fine, and if for some reason the move does get banned at least it won't be a OU ban.

Konami wont ban anything people are buying and using. Look at the current banlist. The fact smogon would ban one move because ONE pokemon can abuse it proves theyre desperate to keep one Pokemon

Klefki didn't exist yet and thundurus was Ubers. Murkrow, liepard, etc are much more fragile and aren't nearly as good at it as those two.

I don't really like thundurus being OU but klefki is perfectly fine as a supporter in other ways but I really think deoxys-s/d need to be retested before anything else

Banning Klefki and Thundurus, however, would hinder other great sets both can utilize. Klefki is great for setting up screens/safeguards or spreading Paralysis for Speed control. Hell, even offensive Draining Kiss Klefki is fun to play. Thundurus is a great offensive support offering a very fast prankster Taunt and T-Wave for speed control while being able to do some damage/Volt Switch out. IMO the only thing that *might* feel banworthy is the combination of Prankster/Swagger or at most banning the use of Swagger on the two aforementioned Pokes only. Any non-prankster Swagger user is a fucking joke anyway, and prankster Swagger leads are pretty much bait for Lum Berry Chomps, Dragonites and co.

The Swagplay suspect test is a way for them to distract the masses from the real issue (Deoxys) for just a little while longer so the elites can keep beating scrubs and maintain high rank using Deosharp or whatever the new flavour of the month guaranteed wins team is.

Klefki, a Pokemon with a good defensive typing, has access to both Swagger and Foul Play
Foul Play can no longer be walled by Steel types like Ferrotorn because they no longer resist Dark type moves.
