1. Lucas - Fought against a universal level crisis.
2. Calem - Self explanatory. Took out what's possibly the strongest team.
3. Ethan/Gold - Beat 2 regions, blue, lance, and red.
4. Brendan - Beat a planet level crisis.
5. Red - Conquered the original region.
6. Hilbert - Stronger than nate.
7. Nate - Self explanatory.

I don't see why saving the world makes people here think you are a strong trainer. Ash has done that over a dozen times now and people here consider him to be a pretty bad pokemon trainer.

So I'm gonna go with Gold. Beating 2 regions and red shows that he's actually good at training pokemon.

By that logic Ash would be a mythical motherfucker, but anime logic =/= game logic. Ethan is over Red, but I don't see how that makes him stronger than -admittedly bullshit- legendary pokemon that control space and time.

Aside from Calem you're pretty right. I'd switch Brendan and Calem, Aqua/magma were much bigger threats then Flare was, and they got a lot closer too. Flare was small time, and humans would still exist. Magma/aqua were looking to end life on the planet. Lore wise I also see Kyogre and Groudon to be much more powerful then Xerneas and Yveltal. They have the power to completely destroy entire oceans/masses of Land. Maybe switch Calem's new location with Ethan, but that's debatable, and there isn't really anything to go off to choose who's over who.

1. Wes – Destroyed TWO criminal organisations, one before the game even began. Beat some of the games' best trainers with only disobedient shitmons at his disposal. Able to operate explosives, to steal others' Pokémon, and to ride a hoverbike.
2. Hilbert – Foiled the schemes of the best-organised and most competent team to date, also beat Ghetsis at the peak of his power.
3. Gold – Beat Red, who in turn dismantled a mafia which was keeping an entire region hostage.

Anyone else is small time. Lucas might have saved the world, but Team Plasma was weak and largely incompetent. He's only notable for defeating Cynthia.
