And why give him a monkey? At least in BW Cheren and Bianca had them due to the whole 3-way journey going on but with Hugh it was just weak.

I didn't hate Hugh or enjoy beating him. He was chore.

I know I shouldn't expect something crazy in terms writing for pokemon but I wanted Korina to be a foil to our character that is somehow a chosen one and accomplishes everything. Something like an actual rival that struggles to beat every hardening challenge.

He's in a game about splicing pokemon together, could be argued to be modelled after/inspired Kyurem (colour scheme, the little icicle badges, working with Ghetsis), and is a real scientist, and has nothing to do with splicing, nothing to do with Kyurem, nothing to do with Genesect, and nothing to do with plot.

If you can call Hugh, why he doesn't have a name Grey or something in manga?

Protagonists and namable Rivals (so no Wally, Bel, Cheren) usually wore colour names in pre-release phase, fandom and manga.
What about Tierno/Shauna/Trevor, aren't they namable too? Shouldn't then they be A, B and C or something in manga?

While I could say this about anyone. I've always felt that while orignally terribly executed Brendan/May/Wally have lots of potential.

For Wally alone they should really play up the mentor idea. Increase how many times you battle him, Maybe have you be able to influence his team through optional quests.

With Brendan/May ramp up the Pokedex rivalry. Would certainly gave players an incentive to catch multiple mon
