The only real problem was just how it took so long for anything to happen and then it was over.

Completely forgetable Gym leaders jesus christ, but the villain had a cool look and even motivation. I really enjoyed him (Which makes the story being so short an even bigger issue).

Ok it was linear as fuck, but it was also pretty. The art direction made it work for me.

This is the gen that gave us Hawlucha. I'll go and disagree with you here.

Clefable and Wigglytuff are finally "not total shit" so I am happy.

Some megas made some forgotten pokemon viable (Pinsir, Mawile).

My biggest gripe with X/Y was the severe lack of new Pokemon. We got some awesome new ones but not nearly enough

X/Y was clearly a love letter to the Genwun marks. With the huge focus on Gen 1 starters, and quite a few of the Megas being Gen 1 Pokemon.

I enjoyed B/W a lot more than X/Y, but I still like X/Y

The offline part is a kids' game, it's not supposed to be any good to be fair. Kids lap anything up.

Disappointend by most of them. Most of them try too hard to be cute, and usually fail at that too. I only liked Floette and, as a concept, Mawile.

I liked the Kanga idea (competitive scene aside) but most of the megas were just spikes and edges (literal edges, not 2edgy4me shit may may). Charizard Y, Mawile, Banette and Alakazam were pretty good though

I have played Pokemon since R/B/Y and I always enjoyed them. Then gen V came along, and despite the good story and new mechanics, somehow it wasn't as fulfilling as the others. Maybe it was the forgetable characters or because gen V has some of the most awful Pokemon (others quite good, though).
Anyway, I thought Pokemon was going stale, then this jewel came along, I can still remember the thrill I felt when they released X/Y teaser, so I waited and waited, at first I was annoyed by the new typing, but it was a great change, and the rest of it, well, let just say I wasn't disappointed, heck, I really liked Gen VI.

Gen VI revived my thrill for Pokemon which was reduced by Gen V
