Gary is often called the best champion despite having an ass team. His final battle has more gravity because you've been fighting through the whole game and he's always been a cocknose.
Compare to the celebrity who is famous because she said so, which you only meet twice before her battle.
From difficulty, Diantha is a much better finale. From everything else, Gary is superior.
Diantha would be better if she were talked about more, you got to see her movies, or if she actually did jack shit before her battle.
