It's safe to assume just about everyone has a 'favorite type' isn't it? So, let's talk about the types you can't stand. For example : Types you like very few / absolutely no Pokes from, dual-types that just bother you, or just typings you find yourself neglecting. Personally, I hardly ever use a Ground type- or a Rock type for that matter. I think the majority of them are ugly and- I've just never gotten around to caring about using them. I've never been all that excited about Electric-types, either.

Very few of them stand out to me, though I did use a Tyranitar in post-game Gold, and I'm replaying Black with a Boldore in my party right now. I like ground types though. Gligar, Glourk, Krookodile, fucking Garchomp, Swampert . . . lots of good things there, though mono-ground is kinda forgettable.

I don't really 'hate' those typings, but I'm definitely less likely to pick them up if I find something else I want. Can't get too excited about Onix.

Steal, and rock have barely any Pokes I like. Ice is up there, as well.

I know I'm just going to be THAT guy, but I hate fairy type. I hate the moves and I hate the pokemon conceptually. What kind of fucking attacks are "play rough" and "dazzling gleam" and "moon blast?" They clearly didn't have a central theme in place before they decided to just throw another type in the works. New fairy types also suck, I don't see why everybody shits all over vanillux, which isn't really ice cream, then just give a pass to slurpuff which is a literal fucking cake. At least pokemon like trubbish/vanillux/muk have some justification for the whole "inanimate object being a pokemon" but pokemon like klefki and slurpuff don't. Plus fairy types suck

I don't find myself using a lot of psychic types that much. Not that I hate the type or anything, I just don't find many psychic types that interesting or have found psychic type attacks to be especially useful over other types in battle. I was making a "top 3 of each type" list earlier and I realized there's really not that many dark types that I like either I've also kind of developed a small instinctive fear of ice and dark type attacks, which is probably because I like using a lot of ground and ghost types

With all the "fae" lore out there in the world, they could have done better.

I don't think I hate/can't stand any type in particular, I'm pretty chill about them overall. In concept, at least I do say that I don't really care much for poison, even though I want to try using a defensive poison type someday (I'm currently training a Zubat in Platinum, but, come on. It's fucking Zubat.). I am also not very fond of dark types in general even though I like some of them. Psychic types are also kind of meh I guess my main problem is that I am annoyed by anything that can't take a punch or looks evil, I'm a bit of a moralfag. Or maybe it's just because they aren't as common so I haven't had the chance of training them while playing the games, which is where I usualy grow fonder of certain pokemon/types. That said, birds being ALWAYS normal/flying makes me rise eyebrows. The fuck's up with that?

>>18740235 >Anything that looks evil. WELL, I can see not liking the obvious edgymons. Zoroark is like- my favorite combination of colors but I hate the looks of that thing.
Also, don't give up on Zubat! It evolves into Crobat and it's surprisingly good.
The only dark type I'm really fond of is Houndoom. And maybe Mightyena.

>>18740320 Not really Zoroark, the thing looks more like a prankster to me actually. I'm talking real asshole-ish pokemons. Mightyena is one of my favorites because it doesn't look like it actually TRIES to fuck up anyone's day, it's just a wild wolf so if you stay clear you should be fine

It isn't a exactly a type that I'm not particularly fond of but rather an egg group - humanshape pokemon But since most of those tend to be specific types I guess that means fighting is my least favorite type, followed by psychic. not all the humanshapes though, I mean, Alakazam just looks like some bipedal jackal-goat-bug thing as opposed to say, Jynx, Machoke, Sawk or Throh.

>>18742117 I really want to enjoy the Ice type, but there is no such thing as a "bulky / defensive Ice type". The type simply cannot be bulky or defensive and that's due to all its weaknesses. Yes, this means it is an offensive type, so Pokemon like Mamoswine and Weavile are good at what they do, but then you have Pokemon like Avalugg, Abomasnow, Aurorus, Cryogonal, etc, who are all meant to be bulky or defensive, but thanks to the Ice type's fucking awful myriad of type weaknesses, they all falter.
That, and Hail is a pretty lame weather effect with few advantages. Then it got nerfed...

When I first started playing, I absolutely fell in love with grass type. Favourite type for nearly ten years now. Then because I never do things in halves, I came to really dislike all the types that were effective against it. Winona's gym in Hoenn made me dislike flying types in particular. Nowadays though, I just dislike steel and rock, out of all of them. Rock seems boring, as most of the pokemon are just... rocks. And while steel is a fucking pain to battle against due to how resistant it is against my favourite type ;__;

Ground. There's just nothing exciting about the Ground type whatsoever. Their type itself is uninteresting, their designs are bland, they're not even fun to use (Ground types = spam Earthquake.) Also not fond of Fighting, Rock, or Dragon, but at least they have a few good designs.

So few of the fairy types resemble or even reference anything from the vast fairy and fae mythology that they could have called it faggot type, or nazi type, or Spanish type, or master race type, or heterosexual type and it'd make just as much sense.

I don't like dark types, and I don't know why. I think. Malamar is pretty cool, but most of that comes from it's other type that I love and it's usefulness to me in VGC. Also, water type. There are a decent amount of water types that I like such as Blastoise and Skrelp, but I think it has the biggest ratio difference of number liked to number available.

I can't say I 'hate' any of the pokemon types, but there are a few that don't appeal to me. Most rock pokemon designs are pretty bland and the dinosaurs have never really been my thing. Maybe the one I feel the most aversion too are dragon type pokemon as most are legendary and the type as a whole couldn't appeal less to me.

Bug. The pokemon aren't great and I hate bugs in real life anyhow. The only exceptions being bugs that I like in real life anyhow. All 2 of them. Scyther, because I like praying mantises. Shedinja (yes I know it's not actually a bug), because I think cicada shells are cool. As far as game mechanics go, Ice. I love Ice pokemon but they all suck because. Well... Ice.
