Mewtwo's "Y" forme is the one thats always seen in most marketing, with "X" for Charizard appearing a lot.

I assume if they do add them, they'll both have them as Final Smashes. (working like Zero Suit Samus where they can switch between their Mega Evolution and regular version)

Perhaps what they could do is also have the opposite versions in the opposite game (ie, 3DS would have Mewtwo X and Charizard Y)

Brawl nerfed _it pretty hard sadly.
Quite frankly, the only character I care about right now is Ness. Would like to see PKMN Trainer and maybe Mewtwo return, although hell I wouldn't mind Charizard on it's own.

Mega Charizard X

Expect all three to make an appearance in the game.

Jigglypuff is pretty much confirmed to return because of its classic veteran status.

Squirtle and Ivysaur are debatable, chances are Red will not return because the cool kids just wanted to play as Charizard. Basically, Mega Charizard X will replace Red.

Mewtwo will strike back.

Blaziken is the most plausible newcomer for the roster thanks to the fact it's one of Game Freak's favorites. Game Freak really tried to push it and its appearance in Smash should not surprise anyone. They're also trying to push Blaziken as Lucario's rival.

Genesect has zero chance of getting in despite the fact it's the perfect candidate for the game. It's just not popular enough.
