Good moveset for a Mawile?

I'm already going for Play Rough and Iron Head because STAB, but I need other ideas for the other two slots.

I'm tempted to breed Ice Fang onto it to counter Ground-types, but Ice Fang isn't all that powerful. Might give it Stone Edge because of Fire-types.

try play rough/fire fang/sucker punch, and for the last slot you can go swords dance, or pain split. you can also run sub and swords dance and replace fire fang.

Sucker Punch gives slow ass Mawile some much needed priority as well as slightly better coverage than Iron Head (notably, being able to hit Aegislash)

Play rough and fire fang are a must on Mawile movesets. You can also use rock slide for coverage against fire pokemon (although it is not the best option since most fire types will outspeed you) or sucker punch, which has the advantage letting mawile overcome its abysmal speed stat.

And, as for abilities, I wanted to go with Sheer Force, but I've heard that Intimidate is better.

you've heard right. intimidate is good so you can lower the opponent's attack before you mega evolve. meanwhile sheer force is useless because you're never going to use regular mawile to actually attack
